old timer / not that old ! library of congress (in my own mind) archives of fishing trivia, circa 1950- 1980. Hoping to find new trivia , help with questions relating to authors / tackle / manufacturers /inventors ,etc. Project ideas on the need for conservation/I.E. more on the situation and awareness of global issues effecting water /fishing conditions,practical participation in enviremental ethics such as sensible use of pesticides /herbicides rather than restocking efforts.Also the need of international policy in ethics regarding the polution of the planet . I have a manufacturing background ---have witnessed first hand atrocities that manufacturers have delivered to the enviroment in the persuit of profit.The answer is not to "pass the buck"to third world countries ,where restrictions are none existant ,and the bottom line is new world order .Sportsmen have a limited voice,still a voice,in deciding who to do business with.Do we really need to dam up our rivers in order to have Blue Grass in our yards,only to go to the riverside and exclaim the wonders of nature. Etc., Etc., I,m not trying to give a campaign speech ,I am trying to influence the sportsman who drives up the canyons with a four wheel drive diesal (400 h.p.)in the illusion that this personafies the masterful sportsman.I,m not trying either to taint the pleasures of a forum that is a relaxation spot for all involved.However whom has considerd where the varnish /varnish remover goes after the refinishing of that classic bamboo rod.?All said and done (rounds fired 10,541 -causulties -hopefully none )
